You know what? I'm getting so irritated with mean nasty people out there that leave retaliatory feedback for no reason at all. Mean.
The seller is: ebay username: fender5150, ebay store name: Scrap-Things. They sell scrapbooking paper, etc.
I bought three items in the last few weeks. I paid for them immediately but asked first, hey...can you combine shipping? I mean really...I've been on eBay for years and know the game (my other account heather-sky-studio, where I sell my original art) and have really worked hard to make sure that I am commiserate with current shipping costs. Most of the time I've eaten the difference and under charged.
So here I have this other account. I buy some goods, pay for them right away. I leave a positive feedback to the seller, though warn other potential buyers of high shipping costs and no real break. They sent me the package for flat shipping at 9 dollars and charged me 25.
Then they come back and leave me three negatives!!??? WOW!
Let me get this straight:
I buy their goods
I ask for combine shipping they will only give me 5 off
Ok, I pay for it right away
I get the package wow, it's 9 bucks not the 25 I paid
I leave a POSITIVE feedback, with warning of high shipping.
Then I get three NEGATIVES.
Does this seem retaliatory to you guys? I mean wow...I'm kinda bummed.
*sigh*
Thanks for reading this far. I guess there isn't much I can do but warn people to be very very careful. VERY very careful.
Did I make the point yet to be really aware...and careful.

Follow up::
I've had a small amount of conversation with the seller and they will not withdraw the negative feedback left to me. Never mind they are mean spirited and don't like to be called on their crooked business practice of charging astronomical shipping fees.
I left three positives stating item as described, shipping too high. They retaliated with three negatives. Then just said good luck dealing with eBay, almost knowing nothing will be done. I've reported this...we'll see where it goes. I'm very unhappy that this can even happen.
Details of the transaction etc are above.
Buyers, be very very careful! :-( Bad apples out there.
Since I can't use their seller name on eBay or my eBay blog there (my user name there for my antiques and collectibles -- christine-wasankari)
I CAN do it here.
Do NOT buy from this seller for anything! http://stores.ebay.com/Scrap-Things
Once again...these people are crooked and retaliatory. Be very careful.
One last critical issue is Ebays stupid policy of even allowing a seller to leave a negative feedback in the first place WHEN THE BUYER PAID IMMEDIATELY WITH PAYPAL.
What the hell can be negative about that? Stupid Ebay policy leaving you with no protection against CROOKED SELLERS such as this.

Hi Christine,
It's awful that this sort of thing happens on E-Bay. I have noticed several sellers that gouge on shipping. I have made it a habbit to always check on shipping first before I bid. So far everyone I have dealt with has done right by me on it. However if I don't get a response or I feel it's not reasonable I don't bid. I do usually end up paying a buck or two more than actual shipping but that's ok with me. I figure it helps to cover the time spent listing, e-mailing, invoicing, packaging, and mailing. Over twice actual shipping is excessive to say the least.
Yes indeed, this was excessive. I didn't mind paying the initial cost from one of the auctions at all. I knew there might be a bit more based on the fact that I won three of them. Though when I asked for the combine shipping they said they give I was shocked at what amounted to not being combined. And to ship it flat rate...they profited, big time.
So I figured ok, I'll eat it I guess that's just what happens sometimes. Irritating but it happens.
What set the whole thing off is them give ME negative feedback. That was absolutely uncalled for. Just because I pointed out that folks need to know their shipping is high. They made more on the shipping than anything else.
And when I left it, I left it as positive feedback, just be careful shipping way too high.
The fact they left me, the buyer who paid in full and left positive feed back is what makes me so uptight here.
So after some going back and forth and them saying they will not withdraw (after some nasty unprofessional emails) I figure I can at least step out and say "be careful" a little further. A little broader audience hopefully.
:-)
Not good at all. And I've been on eBay for a very long time. I know how the whole thing works perfectly well. Just because this one account of mine has such low feedback doesn't mean I don't have the other with much higher. I'm no novice.
It's a feedback game. I don't like sellers that wait to give feedback to a prompt paying buyer. It's ridiculous! As a seller I ALWAYS give feedback as soon as the item is paid for. Any seller that withholds feedback until you leave yours is crooked in my opinion. Ebay should change the way feedback is processed if they are going to place so much weight on it. A seller should be required to leave feedback once payment is rec'd. It makes the buyer feel like they can't say what they really feel in fear of retaliation. But hey, on a lighter note, come to my blog party.
