Another Wow, because I can :-)

Ok, wow.

It's been a while since I've been back. Got a little side tracked with Thanksgiving and all. The and all part is the huge storm we got up here in Washington State on the 1st. Sort of knocked our socks off, cleaned our clocks, flooded us out and knocked over more trees than reside in the whole state of Colorado (waving at my old home state)

We lost power, lost dsl, lost phones...and were cut completely off from anything. All roads out of here (three of them, sort of) all impassable due to landslides and big trees down. Like really, really big trees.

Sort of boggles the mind really. We got knocked with a surprise punch. Storms line up off the coast all winter long jostling for their turn to whack us, but this one...they (the meteorologists) didn't quite see this one coming with such force. They knew we needed to batten down the hatches, but not run the risk of being blown away in 125 mile an hour winds. Whew.

So obviously I'm back. Hanging out with the fire place going, Christmas music playing, blueberry wine in hand and creating some art. Some new stuff even. :-) Stay tuned!
